Planning a Wix website? Estimate your Wix website cost before you get started
Updated: Oct 6
If you’re thinking about a new website, one of your first questions is likely to be: “How much will it cost?”
The answer depends on what you need. A straightforward one-page website has a different scope from a larger business site with several service pages, original copywriting and booking features.
To help you plan, I’ve created a free Wix website cost calculator. Choose your pages, content requirements and optional features to see an indicative project budget before we discuss your brief.
What does the calculator include?
The calculator builds an estimate around the work involved in creating your website. You can select:
The number of standard pages you need.
Whether you’ll supply finished copy or need editing or writing support.
Blog setup.
Simple booking functionality.
Analytics and enquiry tracking.
Additional training after handover.
Your selections update the estimated fee and project hours, helping you see how each addition affects the budget.
If you need an online shop, a website migration or a custom integration, the calculator flags that a bespoke quote is required. Those requirements need a closer look before I can give you a meaningful price.
A standard one-page Wix website starts at £325
My minimum standard one-page build is £325, based on an eight-hour working day. I do not charge VAT on my service fees.
Within the standard scope, that allowance covers briefing and structure, design using your supplied branding and assets, up to six page sections, one contact form, mobile layout adjustments, basic on-page SEO, launch checks, two consolidated revision rounds and a basic handover.
It assumes that you provide usable assets and finished written content, unless you select copy support.
A one-page website can be a practical starting point for a business with a focused offer. If you have several distinct services or need more detailed information, additional pages may be more appropriate.

How written content affects the budget
A website needs clear words as well as a considered design. Visitors should be able to understand what you offer, who it’s for and how to take the next step.
The calculator gives you three options: supply finished copy, ask me to lightly edit your existing copy, or include original writing for selected pages.
The writing and editing allowances cover up to 600 words per selected page. Specialist research, interviews and legal policy drafting require a separate scope.
If you’re unsure which option you need, use the calculator to compare them. We can then review your existing content together.
What costs are separate?
The build estimate covers my selected services. Wix subscriptions, domains, business email, paid apps and any transaction or usage charges are paid separately by you.
You’ll also need to supply your branding, suitable images, business information and any required legal text. Photography, branding, specialist functionality and ongoing marketing can be discussed separately.
Keeping these costs distinct gives you a clearer view of both the initial project budget and the ongoing cost of running your website.
An estimate is a starting point for a conversation
The calculator is a planning tool, rather than a confirmed quotation or booking. It uses standard workload allowances, so it cannot account for every requirement.
Before work starts, I’ll review your brief and confirm the deliverables, exclusions, fees and timing in writing. Larger pages, complex features or additional revisions may need a different allowance.
The estimated hours show the effort involved, rather than a promised turnaround time. A website build also does not guarantee search rankings, enquiries or sales.
Try your website ideas before committing to a brief
You don’t need to have every detail worked out to use the calculator. Start with the pages and features you think you need, then explore different combinations.
It’s a useful way to prepare for our conversation: you’ll have an initial budget in mind, and I’ll have a clearer picture of what you’re considering.
